About Atlantic Beach
Atlantic Beach is located in Duval County and is consider one of the communities of the Jacksonville Beach area. Atlantic Beach originally grew around the Mayport stop of Henry Flagler’s railway. In 1915, the Atlantic Beach Corporation bought the land around this train stop and incorporated it in 1926. In 1987, Atlantic Beach grew when Seminole Beach was annexed to the town. Atlantic Beach has the charm of a small town along with a family-friendly atmosphere. The city has a skate park, a preserve on Dutton Island, and a dog walk at the Atlantic Beach Dog Park.
