About Perry
Perry is the county seat for Taylor County, Florida. This town was named for Madison Stark Perry, the 4th Governor of the State of Florida. Perry is home to the Taylor High School Bulldogs, who in 2010 played an undefeated football season (10-0), winning them the district championship. Perry is known as being home to the once beautiful Hampton Springs Resort in the 1920. The Hampton Springs Resort was made famous by the clear waters of the Hampton Springs. The waters were once reverted to concrete areas so that guests could relax and rejuvenate in the springs. Since the abandonment of the resort, the concrete foundations around the guest areas of the springs have been compromised by the hardwoods surrounds the beautiful springs.
