Winter Garden is a city situated about 15 miles from downtown Orlando in the western portion of Orange County. This residential town is bisected by State Road 50 (called W. Colonial Drive through town). The southern end of W. Colonial Drive lined with luxurious, up-scale communities, like Stoneybrook West. Winter Garden has two main shopping/entertainment districts; each with its own “flare”. The historic downtown area has museums, cultural venues, eclectic shops, restaurants, and cafes. Along Daniels Road the Village at Fowler shopping center is filled with chain retail stores such as Super Target, Best Buy, and Lowes. Winter Garden has easy access to many roads, like State Road 50 (W. Colonial Drive) and the Western Beltway (a toll road that links Interstate 4 at Mile Marker #58 to the Florida Turnpike). This access to major roadways allows travel to and from the Orlando Metro area a breeze. Attending one of the many local universities is not difficult either. The University of Central Florida, Rollins College, and Valencia Community College are all within 30 minutes of Winter Garden.
