Lynn Haven is a city skirting the panhandle of Florida in Bay County. Lynn Haven’s slogan appropriately describes the town; “Pride in the past, faith in the future”. Having just celebrated the city’s centennial birthday in 2011, Lynn Haven keeps the history of their city’s founder, W.H. Lynn. He was a war veteran and started the community with the idea that the area was good for old soldier’s health, the beautiful climate, and the productive nature of the soil. A monument to W.H. Lynn was erected in the town for his contribution to Lynn Haven. To see this monument and many other historical places in Lynn Haven, the city has put together walking tours of the area. Lynn Haven has become a community with activities for its residents and a growing shopping district on Highway 77. Lynn Haven has a 5K run celebrating the Lynn Haven, Tea and Open house during the early spring, and an annual Fourth of July celebration.
