Merging of Mid-Florida Regional MLS Will Benefit Flat Fee MLS Listings

Five new Realtor® associations have merged with the Mid-Florida regional MLS with new implementation of listing technology beginning in March 2008.

The Mid-Florida regional MLS is host to our flat fee MLS real estate listings in areas like Orlando, Tampa, and currently includes the Bartow Board of Realtors®, East Polk County Association of Realtors®, Greater Lake County Association of Realtors®, Greater Tampa Association of Realtor®, Lakeland Association of Realtors®, Orlando Regional Realtor® Association, Osceola County Association of Realtors®, and West Volusia Association of Realtors®.

Soon ADDvantage™ will be putting its Sarasota flat fee MLS listings through the Mid-Florida Regional MLS which will eventually stretch from Punta Gorda all the way to Tampa and along the I-4 corridor to Volusia County. More than 8,000 Realtors® from Southwest Florida are joining the current real estate board professionals from eight current Central Florida MLS member associations. The merging will create one of the largest and strongest (MLS) Multiple Listing Services in the country. This is particularly advantageous to sellers who elect to list flat fee MLS. The new service will improve the data exchange and technology platform for their Florida flat fee listing agent. MLS subscribers, such as buyer agents also benefit. Realtors® with buyers will be able to access data from various local multiple listing services, with ease.

By August of 2008, this new era of real estate listing technology will add more members to the MFRMLS adding more selling power to our flat fee listed sellers! The future of the MLS does affect our flat fee MLS FSBOs and ADDvantage™ looks forward to the consolidation efforts of the Sarasota Association of Realtors®.
