This upscale waterfront community is family oriented and consists of 518 waterfront homes. Boaters love The Venetian Isles because of its deep water docks and canals. Sail boaters dream of such easy access to the open waters yet having the protection of sheltered inlet waters.
The Venetian Isles were developed in the 1950's by dredging the bottom of Tampa Bay. The streets are named Overlook Drive, Grand Canal Boulevard and Mermaid Point.

Builders started developing The Venetian Isles in the 60's by such builders as Arthur Rutenburg, Tessier Homes and Sibley Homes. Many of the original homes on the Venetian Isles have been either razed or totally renovated to meet modern waterfront construction methods.
Venetian Isles is a deed restricted community and is known for its vigilant enforcement of its deed restrictions. While some may find this intrusive, it is far better to have an HOA that cares because without such deed restrictions some very obtrusive personal items start to clutter the front yards and drive prices down.
Downtown St. Pete is just 15 minutes away and the beautiful beaches of St. Pete Beach, Sunset Beach, Ft Desoto Park and Treasure are just 25 minutes to the west. Orlando is less than 2 hours.
