Redington Beach, Florida is located in Pinellas County and is a barrier island protecting the City of St. Pete. Redington Beach is on the Gulf of Mexico and its finger islands project into Boca Ceiga Bay.
The main waterfront streets are Harbor Dr, Redington Dr., Medallion Blvd., 4th Av, 5th Av. and 6th Ave off 161st Ave.
To the north is the sister island of North Redington Beach and to the south is Madeira Beach. The Intracoastal Waterway borders Redington Beach to the east and the Gulf of Mexico on the west. Redington Beach is mostly waterfront single family homes.
Located in Pinellas County, Redington Beach is 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport and 30 minutes from Downtown St. Pete.
The size of the island is approximately 1 square mile. There are four city parks, five public beach access paths and a community recreation area with basketball courts and a large kids playground.
