Homestead is the southern most city in the chain of cities known as Greater Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is also known for the devastation it received at the hands of Hurricane Andrew.

Homestead touches the Florida Everglades, Okeechobee Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It is also the gateway to the Florida Keys.
