About Ybor City
After having success selling cigars to the heavily Spanish and Cuban community of Ybor, Vincent Ybor, set out to manufacture his own cigars in Havana. After the political unrest in Havana and as Cuban Revolution raged, Vincent moved his cigar factory and his passionate workers to Key West, Florida.
Ybor is now called Ybor City and has been revitalized into Tampa's version of SOHO with shops, restaurants, clubs, people, lots of people, and galleries.
