Port Royal At Harbour Island is an exclusive street, Royal Pass Road, within South Tampa's coveted Harbour Island.

Harbour Island is a prestigious master planned gated development nestled on a private island oasis in South Tampa consisting of condos, townhomes and single family architectural masterpieces. Condos in Harbour Island start in the low $200Ks while other waterfront homes such as Harbour Place sell for over $5 million. The Point at Harbour Island is on the tip of Harbour Island with the main street being Renaissance Way.

Harbour Island is connected to Downtown Tampa by two bridges. At the entrance to Harbour Island is the Harbour Island Athletic Club, restaurants, Channelside, The St. Pete Times forum, and the Tampa Aquarium.

Schools in the Harbour Island district are Gorrie Elementary, Wilson Jr High, and Plant High School.

Harbour Island was first known as Seddon Island named after W. L. Seddon, a railroad engineer. In 1979 Harbour Island was purchased by The Beneficial Corp. It wasn't until 1990 that Harbour Island finally gained the needed momentum to become South Tampa's premier place to live. First came Port Royal, then St. Tropez, The Keys and Harbour Side Townhomes.

The first Home Owners Association created on Harbour Island was the Harbour Island Community Services Association, Inc. (HICSA) which is today the master association for the entire development. There are 3 sub-districts in Harbour Island known as North Neighborhood Association, the South Neighborhood Association and the Piazza Neighborhood Association (commercial).

The South Neighborhood Association (NSD) manages the access for all residents and guests. The South Neighborhood Association is strictly residential with control over two condominium communities, four townhome communities, four single family home communities, and the marina.

The North Neighborhood Association (NNA) is a mixed use neighborhood district, with both businesses and neighborhood associations sharing this district. There is one apartment community, seven condominium or townhome communities, businesses and office complexes.

Altru was a great alternative to hiring a full service broker. Keith and his team were excellent! I was in a situation where I had the newest house, with many upgrades, in an older neighborhood. We knew the appraisal would fall below the asking price. Keith was able to negotiate the appraisal shortfall and close the deal at a selling price that I and the buyer were both happy with. A true “win, win”! Overall it was a pleasant experience and I was completely satisfied with his team. I would definitely recommend them to a family member or a friend!
